Natural yumminess awaits! Today we’re excited to announce the launch of Radical Honey — a community-centric subscription service providing locally sourced artisanal honey directly from the beehive into your tummy. All our honey is sourced by urban beekeepers in San Francisco, and we only ship our jars within a 100-mile radius to ensure the supply chain remains local and our carbon footprint low.
Over 70% percent of commercially available honey isn’t real, and we’re tired of the adulterated products found in our local grocery stores. There was something missing in the market despite a perceived demand for purity in our food, and we felt that discerning honey lovers would be interested in a healthier and tastier alternative. Raw honey is not just a jar in your cupboard, it’s a naturally occurring byproduct of bee pollination providing one of the natural delicacies of the culinary world. Sadly, most of the honey we eat has been de-pollinated, and most of the natural benefits destroyed through processing.
Enter Radical Honey! We’ve partnered with several beekeepers in San Francisco, who produce the entirety of our honey. By keeping everything local, from the supply to the distribution, we are on a mission to bring conservation and environmentally responsible production to the forefront of honey consumption.
