Ancient Greeks & Romans recognized honey as an aphrodisiac! In the old days, it was a symbol for fertility, love, and beauty.
4. It Has Healing Powers
Honey has been used in medicine since its discovery. In addition to being a great source of antioxidants and phytonutrients, honey also serves as an antibacterial. We’ve used honey for all sorts of remedies, from soothing sore throats to even healing wounds and killing germs.
5. Honey is Indestructible
It’s one of the few foods that literally never expires. Properly stored honey can last for over 2,000 years, which is pretty sweet if you ask us!
